A NewGen Technologies Inc. subsidiary has struck a deal with Cummins Terminals Inc. to upgrade, operate and maintain three fuel terminals to add biofuel to their offerings.

ReFuel America, NewGen´s wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, will optimize the terminals´ storage capacity, supply, blending and distribution. Cummins Terminals, based in Knoxville, Tenn., recently acquired the sites, which are located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Cummins operates two other fuel terminals that have a capacity of more than 22 million gallons.

The deal will allow ReFuel America to expand its sale of branded premium biofuel. Charlotte, N.C.-based NewGen´s fuel products include petroleum products as well domestically produced alternative fuel such as ethanol-based E85 and biodiesel-based B20.
