6-pronged approach to fight global warming Feb. 13 There is no single technology fix to address global warming, according to a report from the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. The center has released a comprehensive plan to cut U.S. greenhouse gas emissions that calls for a combination of technology and market development. The report, "Agenda for Climate Action," urges action in six areas -- science and technology, market-based programs, industry sector emissions, energy production and use, adaptation and international engagement. It offers 15 specific recommendations that can be implemented in the near term to curb carbon emissions. The report is available at www.pewclimate.org .
