Pew Center suggests
6-pronged approach to fight global warming
Feb. 13There is no single technology fix to
address global warming, according to a report from the Pew Center on
Global Climate Change.
The center has released a comprehensive plan to cut U.S. greenhouse
gas emissions that calls for a combination of technology and market
development.
The report, "Agenda for Climate Action," urges action in six areas --
science and technology, market-based programs, industry sector
emissions, energy production and use, adaptation and international
engagement. It offers 15 specific recommendations that can be
implemented in the near term to curb carbon emissions.
