opens additional stores

Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc. plans to open a
superstore in a western suburb of Atlanta to sell household appliances
that might otherwise go to waste, the company said June 29.
The 46,000-square-foot Lithia Springs, Ga., ApplianceSmart factory
outlet superstore will be the company´s fourth in metropolitan Atlanta.
ARCA also is opening another location in Stockbridge, Ga., a
southeastern suburb of Atlanta. The two stores will be the 14th and 15th
the company operates.
"ApplianceSmart has established a strong presence in Atlanta since
first entering this major market only two years ago," said Jack Cameron,
ARCA president and CEO. "We have accomplished this by offering customers
an unprecedented selection of high-quality, discount-priced appliances."
Minneapolis-based ARCA´s ApplianceSmart stores offer special-buy
household appliances, which include closeouts, factory overruns and
scratch-and-dent units. ARCA also is one of the nation´s largest
recyclers of major household appliances for electric utilities´
conservation programs.
