Jul 9, 2006 - Sunday Mail; Glasgow
A STATE-OF-THE-ART energy park - which will inject more than pounds
130million into the economy - is being planned for Fife.
The flagship development in Methil will be a hub for Scotland's
renewable energy sector. More than 500,000sq ft of business space has
been earmarked as part of a 10-year masterplan.
Once completed, it will create hundreds of jobs and generate
65million of investment for the Levenmouth area.
John Noble, of Scottish Enterprise Fife, said: "The renewables energy
sector is set to grow significantly in Scotland, with hopes for future
developments in wind, solar and wave power.
"The Energy Park will provide much-needed industrial space."
The project is being funded by a partnership of Scottish Enterprise,
Fife Council and the European Regional Development Fund.
