Global warming film producers buy energy credits to offset emissions

June 6 --

The new global warming motion picture "An Inconvenient Truth" is the first documentary to be carbon-neutral.

The documentary "weaves the science of global warming with former Vice President Al Goreīs personal history and longtime commitment to communicating the need to reverse the effects of global climate change," the Paramount Classics film company said.

Paramount Classics is working with NativeEnergy, a company that calculated the filmīs carbon output and then arranged for the purchase of renewable energy credits to offset those emissions.
