1) Energy Efficient Iron and Steel Making

The U.S. Department of Energy requests proposals for Collaborative Energy Efficiency Research in Iron-Making and Steel-Making. Through this RFP, DOE seeks collaborative R&D projects focused on advanced technologies that reduce the energy intensity in iron and steel making processes. The prime applicant must form a consortium which must include steel manufacturers. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: 1) Analytical studies on displacing natural gas in ironmaking by the gasification of alternative fuels; and 2) New or improved alternative ironmaking technologies. 1 to 3 awards anticipated, award range $100K to $4 million. 2) Solid-State Lighting Research

The U.S. Department of Energy requests applications for the Solid- State Lighting Core Technologies Program. Areas of interest include:

3) Federal Renewables in the Great Lakes Region

The U.S. General Services Administration requests proposals to provide electric power to Federal facilities in GSA's Great Lakes Region. The approximate total annual electric requirement is 175,676,000 kWhs. The Government has divided its requirement into three pricing groups which each contain a requirement for renewable power. For the purposes of this contract, "renewable energy"

includes electricity generated from solar, wind, biomass, landfill gas, ocean (tidal, wave, current, and thermal), geothermal, municipal solid waste, or new hydroelectric generation capacity achieved from increased efficiency or additional new capacity at an existing hydroelectric project. 4) Renewables in Connecticut

The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) seeks up to 85 MW of renewable energy development. CCEF is interested in projects that are well beyond the pre-development stage, use commercially available technologies, have already achieved substantial progress in permitting and site control, require minimal investment from CCEF, and are ready for deployment. The generating facilities must be located within CT. Areas of interest include solar, wind, ocean thermal, wave or tidal energy, fuel cells, landfill gas, hydro and low emission advised biomass conversion technologies. Responses due 7/17/16. 5) Northeast Diesel Emission Reductions - Regions 1 and 2

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requests proposals for Northeast Diesel Collaborative projects in Regions 1 and 2 which includes CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT, NJ, NY, PR, VI and the Tribal Nations in these States. Projects can involve cleaner fuels, idle reduction, and retrofit technology. $1.48 million expected to be available, up to 12 awards anticipated. 6) Southeast Diesel Collaborative

7) Resource Conservation Challenge - Region 1

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requests proposals for the Resource Conservation Challenge Grant Program in Region 1 which includes CT, ME, MA, NH, RI and VT. Through this program, EPA seeks

to: 1) Prevent pollution at the source of production through toxic use reduction and the more efficient use of materials, energy, water, and natural resources; and 2) Reduce environmental impacts by promoting recycling, composting, waste minimization, beneficial reuse, market development, and sustainable purchasing practices.

8) Source Reduction

The Environmental Protection Agency request proposals for Source Reduction Assistance (SRA) Grants for projects in Regions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10. EPA is interested in funding projects which assist in reducing hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants entering waste streams or otherwise released into the environment prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal. $163K expected to be available, up to 40 awards anticipated. 10) State-Level Policies and GHG Reduction

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requests proposals for the State Policy-Based Approaches to Reducing Emissions Through Improved Greenhouse Gas Management and Clean Energy Grant Program. The purpose of this solicitation is to assist interested state energy, environmental, and utility offices to evaluate their energy programs and develop clean energy plans that will address their states'

11) NOAA Climate Program

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) requests proposals for the Climate Program. The NOAA Climate Program is designed to improve our ability to observe, understand, predict, and respond to changes in the global environment. 10 areas of interest identified, including but not limited to: Climate Change Data and Detection; The Global Carbon Cycle; and Climate Prediction Program for the Americas. 12) Water Conservation in Hawaii

The U.S. Department of Agriculture requests proposals for Irrigation Related Technical Services for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program - Ground and Surface Water Conservation (EQIP-GSWC) in Hawaii. This program supports ground water and surface water conservation projects in areas including but not limited to:
