| Texas litter motto nominated as
all-time favorite ad slogan June 21 -- A well-known slogan coined by the Texas Department of Transportationīs litter prevention program has been nominated as one of the countryīs all-time favorite slogans. "Donīt Mess with Texas" will compete with slogans such as "Got Milk?" and "Good to the Last Drop." Voters will decide their favorite slogan as part of a competition sponsored by USA Today and Yahoo! A winner will be announced on Sept. 29 in New York City. "With 22 million Texans and countless Americans who have enjoyed traveling the beautiful Lone Star State, we figure Donīt Mess with Texas has just as good a chance as any to be selected as a beloved advertising slogan," said Doris Howdeshell, travel division director for the Texas Department of Transportation.
