Katy McEwen, project coordinator of TheRenewablePlanet.com, created the site when it became apparent her children would not be able to enjoy the same quality of life in the future due to the impacts of global warming. The existing projects on the site have been contributed by renewable energy professionals, homeowners, students, business, government and non-governmental organizations. "We hope that this information will stimulate greater interest in renewable energy," says McEwen. "We also want to encourage the exchange of ideas.
