S.C. Johnson says it has cut fossil fuel use by 34% since 2000

S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. reports that it used 34 percent less fossil fuel last year compared with 2000 consumption, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 17 percent in just one year.

S.C. Johnson recently issued its latest public report, which includes details about how the firm is reducing emissions. The Racine, Wis.-based maker of consumer products said it is now exceeding voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction goals established through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency´s Climate Leaders program.

"Winning in business is not just about performance and success; it is also about doing what´s right -- right for the planet, right for people, right for the next generation," CEO Fisk Johnson said.
