U.S. biofuel industry growing 25% to 50% per year :  Report

The biofuel industry is growing by 25 to 50 percent each year in the United States, a new report states.

The industry includes about 200 companies with combined annual revenue of about $3 billion, according to Research and Markets, a Dublin, Ireland-based company that performs industry profiles.

Ethanol and biodiesel fuel are the two key products in the industry, with ethanol accounting for more than 90 percent of current U.S. biofuel production of about 4 billion gallons per year.
