Carbon Markets USA
San Francisco, 11-12 September, 2007
As the GHG market transitions from voluntary trading to compliance
with state (and surely soon federal) requirements, projections are
that the annual global volumes of GHG credits will increase from
$21.6m (2006) to reach $60 billion and may eventually top $1 trillion.
Against this background of opportunity, Green Power Conferences is
pleased to host a conference which will seek to examine the current
status and future evolution of the US carbon market.
Officially endorsed by the California Energy Commission, Carbon
Markets USA is the sixth edition of the Global Carbon Markets Series.
The conference will comprise a two day, high level international
congress providing attendees in-depth insight on the critical
challenges and burgeoning opportunities within the carbon and GHG
emissions markets both within the USA and internationally.
As well as looking at current domestic policy systems and examining
frameworks Post 2012, the conference will tackle wider issues such as
Sustainable Forestry, Carbon Capture and Storage and include a session
focusing on the development of Voluntary Carbon Markets.
Carbon Markets USA is pleased to announce Terry Tamminen, former
Energy & Environmental Policy Advisor to Governor Schwarzenegger, as
esteemed keynote speaker. Terry will lead an impressive speaker line
up which also features industry experts from the US Department of
Energy, Natural Resources Defense Council, California Public Utilities
Commission, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, California Energy
Commission, Pew Center on Global Climate Change and Chicago Climate
Exchange amongst others.
