Washington, DC
For
two days each year, executives, investors and regulators from around the
globe
join
Deloitte's professionals for an in-depth analysis of key developments in
the global and domestic energy markets. Presenters come from a
cross-section of the world's energy industry, and the conference topics
are of keen interest to energy management and boards of directors. The
first day of the conference features plenary sessions focusing on the
world energy landscape, including energy supply and demand and
marketplace dynamics that are shaping industry infrastructures;
observations on the global climate change debate and the future of
carbon regulation and the emerging role of alternative energy; the
outlook for nuclear power and LNG; U.S. energy policy; and opportunities
and challenges to non-traditional ownership in energy infrastructure
including views of private equity, investment banking and diversified
businesses.
The
second day offers elective sessions that bring together specialists from
across disciplines to share knowledge, experiences and perspectives
about the latest trends in the energy industry, focusing on the power,
regulated utilities, and oil and gas sectors. Current topics will
include energy accounting, financial reporting and SEC updates, finance
transformation, alternative energy, the risk intelligent energy company,
major challenges and key strategic levers that will drive future value
creation in the utility sector, and global accounting and financial
reporting developments. Conference participants will have several
opportunities to network with their peers and industry subject matter
specialists.
