Scientists study efficient energy usage
OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Apr 24, 2007 -- UPI
U.S. government scientists have launched a program aimed at adapting homes and buildings to use electricity and other energy sources more efficiently. The project focuses on automation, robotics, sensors and other tools to reduce energy consumption, while taking into account a number of variables such as a building's construction, its ability to remain cool or warm, and how outside conditions impact the inside. The research is being funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. |
