Philadelphia (Platts)--14Dec2007

Three large investor-owned utilities in Oklahoma and Kansas on Friday
reported that a total of more than 340,000 of their customers remain without
power as a result of this week's ice storm.

Oklahoma Gas & Electric said that 154,000 of its customers are still cut
off, including 142,000 in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Public Service
Company of Oklahoma said that 148,000 of its customers, all but 5,000 of them
in Tulsa, remain without power.

In Kansas, 42,000 Westar Energy customers are still without power.

All three of the IOUs expect that their power-restoration efforts will
continue through the weekend and into next week.

Meanwhile, Kansas Electric Cooperatives said that 42,000 distribution
co-op customers in the state have no electricity. KEC said that a total of
more than 6,100 co-op poles were downed by the ice storm.
