Jun. 18--DTE Energy said it has joined the Chicago Climate Exchange,
a voluntary, legally binding program that allows companies to chart
their reductions in greenhouse-gas emissions.
DTE said the Climate Exchange provides a platform upon which
market-based emissions programs can be evaluated. DTE is the parent
company of Detroit Edison and Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. Detroit
Edison provides electricity to 2.2 million customers in southeast
Michigan, while MichCon offers natural gas services to 1.3 million
Michiganders. Contact ALEJANDRO BODIPO-MEMBA at 313-222-5008 or
