The Wave Energy Machine
The energy manifested in waves is almost entirely the product of wind and other atmospheric effects and therefore ultimately comes from the sun. The shifting of tectonic plates can produce tsunamis but though these aberrant massive waves serve to demonstrate the devastating power of moving water, in the general scope of things these are dramatic, but negligible. The oceans’ tides are predictable forces and in some cases can be usefully harnessed, but the energy of the endless movement of waves in seas and lakes remains largely untapped.

The “wave energy machine” is an efficient, inexpensive, mechanically straight forward technology for the conversion of energy from waves into other useful forms.

It can be used to drive a hydroelectric generator, power other forms of machinery, and pump water for irrigation or industry over distances and elevations. The device can be designed for mass-production or made largely of recycled/reclaimed structural and mechanical pieces. Except for sophisticated industrial or hydroelectric processes the device is likely to find use as single units or at least in small groups of units for the sake of simplicity and protection from the more widespread effects of mechanical break down.

Much African and South American coastline is relatively arid or mountainous where irrigation and hydroelectric generation is difficult and expensive. The wave energy machine addresses both of these issues. In addition, salt water pumped to sufficient elevations can be purified and desalinated through ground filtration to the agricultural areas.

Rothman Energy Systems is willing to license this technology to underdeveloped parts of the world for no financial consideration, and wishes to negotiate contracts with and act as consultants to other commercial entities.

Vortex Windmill Energy
This variation on the resurgent interest in harnessing wind energy has several innovative features.

First, the windmill vanes rotate on a vertical axis, thus utilizing wind from any direction without having to turn the device to face the wind.

Second, this makes it possible to mount the assembly closer to the ground, reducing cost and enhancing aesthetics.

Third, safety features (protective grills) and maintenance/repairs are made easier and cheaper.

Fourth, the powering of mechanical devices (mills, pumps, etc..) becomes feasible without the intermediate conversion to electricity.

Finally, the unique design incorporates principles of electromagnetic vortex theory that should produce a gain in power.
