US natural gas supply 'robust' enough to avoid price jump: EIA

Washington (Platts)--14May2007
Calling US natural gas supplies "robust," US Energy Information
Administration chief Guy Caruso said Monday he did not expect a hurricane
season "fly-up" in gas prices.

Based on the latest reports from the US National Oceanic & Atmospheric
Administration, the amount of gas in storage stocks and projections of
upcoming gas-storage injections, Caruso said there should be enough gas on
hand to mitigate any rise in gas prices this summer and fall.

"I am cautiously optimistic," Caruso said.
