WateReuse Association Introduces The National Database Of Water Reuse Facilities

Alexandria, VA — The WateReuse Association announces the release of the National Database of Water Reuse Facilities (NDWRF) to encourage, improve, and disseminate information regarding the practice of water reuse. The NDWRF is a comprehensive database of reuse programs and facilities across the United States that can be used by agencies, utilities, consultants, and reuse water customers to advance the practice and implementation of water reuse at the local, regional, state, and national levels.

The NDWRF is the result of a multi-year research project sponsored by the WateReuse Foundation. WateReuse Association members and WateReuse Foundation Subscribers have limited complimentary access to the data.

Queries can be performed on the following general topics:

  • Reclaimed water production capacity and extent of reclaimed water distribution systems;
  • Reclaimed water uses in the United States, including quantity of reuse for such applications as irrigation, industrial, and recharge;
  • Utility program management practices;
  • Production and distribution data on reuse facilities;
  • Quantity of reuse for applications such as irrigation, industrial, and recharge;
  • Reclaimed water rates; and
  • Utility contacts that may have additional information on reuse programs.
