DOE is seeking public comment on three draft Yucca Mountain environmental
impact statements, the department said in an October 12 Federal Register
notice.
The draft documents -- a supplemental EIS on a proposed spent fuel
repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, another on a proposed rail
transportation corridor to the site, and an EIS on rail alignment for
construction and operation of a railroad to the site -- are online at
www.ocrwm.doe.gov . The public comment period closes January 10, 2008. Comments
may be submitted online at the web site.
