| Join Jeffrey Immelt, Chairman of the Board and
              CEO, General Electric; David Gergen, political commentator and
              former Presidential Advisor; and a broad group of electric
              industry leaders, regulators, consumer and environmental
              advocates, and representatives from Wall Street to discuss the
              need for new electric efficiency, generation and transmission in
              the United States. Electricity demand is projected to increase by at least 30
              percent by 2030 as the U.S. population increases, the economy
              expands, and the use of electric technologies grows. At the same
              time, projected reserve margins are declining across the country.
              Meeting the country’s growth in demand will require intensifying
              energy-efficiency measures as well as major investments in
              expanding and modernizing many elements of the U.S. electric
              system. This conference will explore projected electric efficiency
              improvements and generation and transmission investment needs;
              discuss emerging technologies; and highlight case studies for
              meeting this national challenge.
