Sam's Club, the wholesale division of Wal-Mart Stores, has created a home efficiency center in nine southern California clubs to showcase energy efficiency, water conservation and sustainability that includes products and appliances to help consumers be more eco-friendly and save money.

In addition, Sam's Club said that it is teaming up with Borrego Solar Systems and BP Solar to provide in-store informational kiosks to promote the long-term benefits of solar energy.

Aaron Hall, CEO of Borrego Solar Systems, said: "While homeowners and businesses continue to embrace solar energy at a tremendous rate, this growth is somehow restricted by the relatively limited number of consumers who are exposed to solar in their daily lives.

"By providing these informational kiosks in these regional locations, Sam's Club is demonstrating exceptional leadership in bringing solar energy to the masses. We applaud Sam's Club for its introduction of its home efficiency centers, and we are honored to be a part of the company's forward-thinking position on renewable energy."
