US coal output rises 10.7% on year in week ending Nov. 22: EIA

US coal production totalled about 23.4 million short tons in the week
that ended November 22, roughly 10.7% above output in the comparable week of
last year and about 1.7% above the prior week's production, the Energy
Information Administration said on Friday.

EIA, which bases its estimates on data from railroad car loadings, said
that in the week ending November 22, production east of the Mississippi River
totalled 9.5 million st, while production west of the Mississippi totalled
13.9 million st.
