Dallas launches stand-alone 'green' site
Jan. 10
Dallas city officials have launched a Web site dedicated to environmental
initiatives, making it the first major U.S. city with a comprehensive
stand-alone site addressing green issues, said Mayor Tom Leppert.
The site, www.greendallas.net, offers visitors tips on how to save water and
energy, recycle, improve air quality and green their homes. It also will
feature the city’s environmental initiatives and awards. Dallas officially
launched the site Jan. 9.
City officials are encouraging residents to be more environmentally
conscious to improve the city.
