"I want Britain to be the first location for Chinese investment, in
Europe and in the rest of the world." British Prime Minister Gordon Brown told a joint press
conference, during his maiden visit to China. He welcomed Chinese investment
and outlined an ambitious target to boost bilateral trade by 50% by 2010.
The Prime Minister headed straight for talks with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao,
and discussed sensitive issues such as Sudan and Myanmar, nations that both
have close ties to China.
"Our testing of jet biodiesel is going extremely well. I do not have any
buyers for the jet fuel yet, but [it has] sparked many interested
companies," Yale Wong said, General Biodiesel's CEO. Biodiesel fuel
has been known to be used mostly in ground transportation so far. But one
US-based company, General Biodiesel, said its studies of using biodiesel as
jet fuel is already garnering interest from several companies.
