3/5/2008

Denver, CO — Water managers, planners and operators will explore how to keep aging water distribution infrastructure reliable and efficient at the "Distribution System Assessment and Rehabilitation" seminar hosted by The American Water Works Association (AWWA) April 3-4 in Chicago.

The two-day seminar, led by Sandy Robinson, vice president of Malcolm Pirnie Inc., and Bob Morrison, principal with Jason Consultants, will cover such topics as regulations affecting water distribution, system condition and performance assessment, case studies of systems that have already been rehabilitated, and infrastructure management strategies. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to tailor seminar content based on individual experiences and needs.

Attendees are expected to include distribution supervisors and system operators, city planners, water utility and asset managers, and anyone involved in infrastructure replacement.
