Business travelers will pay
for green lodging: Survey
A new survey by Deloitte & Touche LLP shows that 40 percent of business travelers are willing to pay more for green lodging. The survey also indicates that 60 percent of participants said they always turn out the lights when leaving and 31 percent always adjust the heat or air conditioning when leaving a room. ‘‘Our survey shows that green concerns have made their way on to the business traveler´s agenda,’’ says Adam Weissenberg of Deloitte. ‘‘Business travelers understand the issues and are trying to do their part in being more environmentally responsible when they are on the road.’’ Contact Waste News senior reporter Jim Johnson at (937) 964-1289 or jpjohnson@crain.com
