Advantage Rent A Car says it will become the first major "all green" rental car company in the United States.

"Our single ownership and nimble fleet size provide us the ability to make a commitment to reduce our carbon footprint in the United States," said Chairman Denny Hecker.

The company has committed to switch all of the company´s fleet to environmentally friendly vehicles during the next two years.

Advantage has more than 100 locations in the United States and is based in Minneapolis, Minn., and San Antonio.
