International investment in China’s renewable energy sector remains strong, and active players are even looking to diversify further:

China Light and Power has announced this week the acquisition of Hydro Tasmania's Roaring 40's China wind farm portfolio. CLP, Roaring 40's Joint Venture partner, is expected to pay $134 million for the portfolio.

Domestic activity is also evident, with the recent announcement of a 30-megawatt on-grid solar power station to be developed by the China Technology Development Group Corp. and Qinghai New Energy at the Qaidam Basin of north-western China.
