Symposium "Setting the Pace of a New Age for Photovoltaics
in Europe by 2020" on the occasion of the 4th
General Assembly of the European Photovoltaic Technology
Platform, taking place on
19th June 2009, in Vienna, Austria.
Expert speakers from the PV business will talk on the
sector's vision for the coming decade, including an
assessment of PV's potential market share in 2020, the R&D
needed to keep costs on a steep downward track and the
options for financing the expansion of PV technology. They
will be joined by politicians and government
representatives, who will articulate a strategy for
supporting the PV industry through political action.

This General Assembly is the fourth to be held in the
lifetime of the EU PV Technology Platform. Once a year
since the Platform's inception, an event like this has
been held where the public can learn of the work being
done to build a strong PV industry and specifically, of
the views of members of the Platform's working groups,
who, together with EPIA (European Photovoltaic Industry
Association) have contributed their time to crafting this
strategy.
