PRAGUE - Opinions in Europe and the United States on how to battle climate change are converging, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said on Sunday.
"We welcome the steps taken by the new American administration and the increasing convergence between the European and US position on that matter," he told reporters after an EU-US summit in Prague.
"Only together we can convince others to join our common effort to fight climate change."
He called for an agreement on further actions at a Copenhagen summit on climate in December this year.
