Over-the-counter coal in doldrums, with few trades, flat prices

Washington (Platts)--15Apr2009

Few trades were reported in Tuesday's over-the-counter coal market and
the prices of trades that occurred were flat with Monday.

In the NYMEX look-alike market, fourth-quarter 2009 traded for $50/short
ton for the usual five barges/month, while Q2 2010 was reported to trade at
$56.50/st.

Two spread trades were reported: Q1 2010-over-Q2 2010 for -$3.10 and
again for -$3.15. Also, a look-alike calendar year 2011 $60 put for 10 barges
went for a premium of $5.75.
