Publisher Rodale commits to lowering GHG emissions

Publisher Rodale Inc. is committing to lowering the companyīs greenhouse gas emissions by joining the Climate Leaders program operated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The Emmaus, Pa., firm said it will develop comprehensive greenhouse gas reduction goals during the next 10 years.

"From founding Organic Gardening magazine more than sixty years ago to publishing An Inconvenient Truth by Vice President Al Gore, Rodale has consistently been a thought leader on issues of environmental stewardship. This leadership also applies to the way we run our business, and working with the EPA is a significant step in our continuing efforts to reduce our environmental footprint," said Steven Pleshette Murphy, president and CEO of Rodale.

Rodale publishes several magazines, including Prevention, Menīs Health, Womenīs Health and Runnerīs World.
