Study shows companies use sustainable packaging

Nov. 13

A new study of retail and manufacturing-related companies shows that more than 65% of the respondents have a sustainable packaging policy in place and an additional 28% are developing such a policy.

The study was conducted by Tompkinsī Supply Chain Consortium, which calls itself a source for supply chain benchmarking and best practices knowledge.

"When projecting the evolution of sustainable packaging, the future appears to be bright," says Bruce Tompkins, executive director of the consortium. "Sustainable packaging is a very important issue for all types of companies across all aspects of their supply chains."

The consortium includes more than 300 retail, manufacturing and wholesale/distribution companies.
