Federal science agency experts to discuss research
Oct. 28
Research management experts from various federal science agencies are
gathering Oct. 28 and 29 in Washington to discuss approaches for
identifying research priorities, exploring research performance
management and assessing the impact of completed research.
The goal is to develop a collaborative framework ensuring future
research and development dollars are spent wisely and in a coordinated
manner, according to the EPA.
The workshop -- co-sponsored by the EPA, the Agriculture Department and
George Washington University -- will bring together federal agencies,
industry and academia to identify efficiencies and management strategies
applicable to other research and development agencies.
Information about the workshop is available at www.epa.gov/ord/researchbestpracticesworkshop.
