Study shows consumers purchase some green products
Sept. 30
A new sustainability study shows that the vast majority of consumers
currently purchase at least some green products.
The study, by Grail Research, indicates that 84% of consumers buy green
products and that only 1% who previously purchased green products has
abandoned that category.
Price is the main reason why consumers have not purchased green
products, the research firm said.
"To effectively capitalize on the large and growing market for green
products, businesses need to know what´s driving consumer purchasing
behavior. Our research was designed to help organizations understand how
consumers define green, how committed they are to being green and what
drives their decisions to purchase green products in specific
categories," said client service officer Silvia Springolo.
The study is available at www.grailresearch.com.
