The day after ObamaCare -
Dr. Mehta signs club for growth 'Repeal It' pledge

04/02/2010

SHOW LOW - Just last week President Obama signed into law the ObamaCare legislation supported by Ann Kirkpatrick. In response, Dr. Steve Mehta joined a national chorus of conservative leaders who pledged to help repeal this legislation.

The pledge reads:
I, Dr. Steve Mehta, hereby pledge to the people of my district (AZ01) upon my election to the U.S. House of Representatives, to sponsor and support legislation to repeal any federal health care takeover passed in 2010, and replace it with real reforms that lower health care costs without growing government.
"Today I proudly sign this pledge and vow to keep working to overturn this legislation. The people of rural Arizona have spoken loud enough to be heard, but unfortunately Rep. Kirkpatrick seems to be listening to Nancy Pelosi instead. It's time we have a representative that puts Arizona first," said Dr. Steve Mehta.
Dr. Steve Mehta is a cardiologist and small businessman from Show Low and has been named one of Arizona's "Top Docs" by Phoenix Magazine. He is one of the only cardiologists that serve northern Arizona.
