Union of Concerned Scientists' Request

In a few short weeks, more than 100 new senators and representatives will arrive in Washington, D.C. ready to make decisions that will impact our health, safety, and environment.

Regrettably, many of these people listen more to corporate executives in the oil and coal industries, electric utilities, and big agribusiness than they do to scientists with objective data.

They're looking out for narrow corporate interests—not for our interests—and that's not acceptable.

We need your support to challenge these industries and their allies  who mislead the public and undermine science—and the best way you can help right now, is to become a member of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)

UCS aims to:
  • Expose and challenge attacks on climate science and scientists;
  • Press the Environmental Protection Agency to reduce global warming emissions from cars, trucks, power plants, and other large industrial polluters;
  • Advocate for scientifically sound, forward-thinking farming practices that can improve our air, water, and climate; and
  • Reduce the role of nuclear weapons in U.S. security policy, further reduce their numbers, and prevent the development of new weapons.

With supporters like you, UCS will continue to craft irrefutable scientific analysis that demonstrates practical and effective solutions for a healthy environment and a safer world for ourselves and future generations.

Please become a member today. Remember, join by December 31 and your gift will be matched, dollar-for-dollar.

Best wishes to you and your family for a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season.

Kevin Knobloch Sincerely,
Kevin Knobloch
