Dallas, TX (PRWEB) -An advanced, modular desalination and water purification system – originally designed for the US Military and disaster relief – is now available for municipalities, industrial customers and other users, says Global Water Group, Inc., Dallas, TX-based manufacturer of advanced water processing systems. The Global Water system combines desalination using reverse osmosis (RO) technology with a second modular unit that employs Global Water's proprietary LS3 process for fresh water purification. The result is desalinated water that also tastes good, says Global Water President/CEO Alan M. Weiss. Even with two systems, rather than one, Weiss said the Global Water modular units are cost competitive with other desalination systems. They also are easy to maintain and operate, he said. Global Water manufactures mobile, fixed-base and modular municipal water processing systems. Modularization for municipal systems enables faster manufacturing and installation, easier access, easier and less costly maintenance, Weiss said. The control systems are all custom-designed for optimal quality control. All of Global Water's systems meet or exceed US-EPA, U.S. ANSI, EU and WHO potable water standards. All Global Water systems produce the highest quality potable water. Desalination (up to 50,000 ppm) using RO technology removes salt and parasites. The RO units operate at up to 1200 psi, which is typically higher than most desalination systems. Global Water modular desalination units are available in many different sizes, configurations and housings, and they can process volumes ranging from 25 gallons of potable water per hour (GPH) to as much as 11,000 GPH from seawater in one module. That single module of either 250,000 GPD or 1,000 m3/day is the optimal size for achieving both efficiency and highest water quality. For 1 million gallons per day or 4,000 m3/day, for example, four (4) of Global's modules can be networked and combined via a manifold. For 10,000 m3/day, there would be ten modules; for 100,000 m3.day, there would be 100 modules. Whatever the volume, the efficiencies of scale and quality of output would remain, Weiss explained. In the LS3 component, Global Water's proprietary media formulation for absorption and adsorption of hazardous chemicals completes what filtration alone cannot achieve. It also performs the finishing process, which creates the best tasting output from any desalination system. The Ultra-Violet (UV) processing to kill or neutralize bacteria and viruses completes the LS3 process, assuring the purest possible potable output. About Global Water Group, Inc.
