Natural Gas Vehicle News,
Information and Campaigns
Americans are increasingly realizing the
value and potential of natural gas fuel
for vehicles* and momentum for natural
gas vehicles (NGVs) is building -- in
government, with fleet owners and
individual consumers, and with those
concerned about energy security and the
environment.
For Americans looking to join a campaign
that advocates for NGVs, or just looking
to learn more about natural gas fuel and
natural gas vehicles, the following
websites are excellent resources:
NGVAmerica (Natural Gas Vehicles for
America) is a national organization
dedicated to the development of a
growing, sustainable American market for
vehicles powered by natural gas or
hydrogen. NGVAmerica advocates for the
increasing use of NGVs where they
benefit most. The site offers: key facts
about NGVs and technology; updates on
government policy and incentives;
national and global NGV news; links to
valuable resources and tools; and a
comprehensive online database of
companies providing NGV-related products
and services.
NGVsNow (Natural Gas Vehicles Now)
is a national campaign dedicated to
raising awareness and support for
vehicles powered by natural gas. The
site asks Americans to rally together
for NGVs to secure a cleaner, safer and
more prosperous future. NGVsNow urges
visitors to "Join
the Natural Gas Vehicle Revolution"
and is spreading its message broadly
with the help of social networking sites
such as Facebook and Twitter.
CNGNow is dedicated to educating
consumers about the benefits of
compressed natural gas (CNG) -- an
abundant clean-burning alternative to
gasoline and other transportation fuels.
The site educates and informs via a
six-part series of
educational videos. In addition, the
site offers: information on CNG vehicles
and conversions; refueling options
including a home fueling device; CNG
news and events; and an interactive map
detailing current CNG prices and
locations throughout the USA. CNGNow
asks America's consumers to take action
and "Demand CNG Now."
* About Natural Gas Fuel for Vehicles
