A memorial 5,000 feet below

We noted earlier this week the final sealing of the Macondo well with a corrosion cap. Now, thanks to Bit Tooth Energy, we have footage of the actual cap going in place. The cap has 11 stars on the top, one for each of the rig workers killed in the April 20 blast aboard Transocean’s Deepwater Horizon. On the side of the cap it says “In Memory of the Deepwater Horizon 11.” The men who died in the explosion were:
