INVITATION TO ALL TRIBES
WHAT - a call to all tribes to send representatives to Washington to perform traditional prayers for the Country and to ask that America honor her commitments, treaties, policies, and promises to all of its indigenous peoples.WHEN – November 2- 7th 10am – 5pm DailyWHERE – The National Ellipse, Washington, DCWHO/WHY - 564 + Federally Recognized Tribes and Native Leaders have been invited to perform their prayers, customs & ceremonies - along with and led by Cheyenne & Arapaho Traditional Leaders in honor of all Sovereign peoples - for American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month.
Many Administrations, Presidents, and
Congresses have made and kept many
commitments and promises to the
Sovereign peoples of this great country.
Some of those promises have yet to be
fulfilled! As it is our way
and that of our peoples,
we call on all citizens to show respect
to this President and this Congress during American
Indian &Alaska Native Heritage Month.
We ask you to join us and other
Sovereign leaders
on the Ellipse as we make prayers for
this great land and as we assemble in peace for our
Fathers and Ancestors.
We will gather to pray each day for the country, its leaders and
its
people and we will give thanks, and ask
all to pray for prosperity and
the fulfillment of the
pledges that America has made to its
peoples.
