The Big Business of Doom and Gloom

By: Bill Spetrino

If it wasn't for the Internet, many writers (including myself), would never have been hired by the mainstream media.

Unfortunately, many readers don’t know enough about each writer to find out their actual qualifications.

I didn’t write this to identify these pundits. The reason I wrote this is to make you aware that many writers aren’t telling you what they think. They are instead telling you what they think their readers want them to say.

You may say, “Bill, this guy doesn’t charge me anything. He doesn’t get paid.”

The fact is that if the pundit has 300,000 e-mail addresses, he is making a sizable amount of money from his e-mail list and his other ads.

How many people do you think are upset with the country and many of its policies, for various reasons?

These “doom and gloom” pundits have a much larger audience than the person who tells you to invest conservatively and that with diligence, dedication, hard work and consistent investing, you can build a sizable nest egg during your lifetime.

Now it’s not sour grapes from me. My personal investment portfolio and the record of my Dividend Machine newsletter speak for itself.

The next time you read that “independent” pundit who is “helping” folks with his free blog, realize that the person and the blog may not be as independent as you once thought.
