Survey says extreme greens do more harm than good

April 18 -- A new survey shows that more than six out of 10 say people can be "too green."

The survey from CouponCabin.com said that 64% of 2,229 respondents say that embracing extreme, life-altering habits can do more harm than good.

Specifically, dumpster diving for clothes, food and other times was listed by 68% of the respondents as being "too green." Another biggie listed by 53% of the respondents was reusing plastic bags, even when dirty, to avoid waste.

While a majority of folks say green can go too far, 71% of those responding also said they embrace green living and make an effort everyday to live greener.

The survey was conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of CouponCabin.com, a website that offers online coupon codes and coupons.
