Renewables Provide 11.55% of Domestic Energy Production During 1st Quarter 2012

The latest EIA
"Monthly Energy Review," with data through March 31, 2012, reveals that
renewable energy sources (biomass/biofuels, geothermal, solar, water,
wind) accounted for 11.55% of domestic energy production during the
first quarter of 2012. Non-hydro renewables accounted for 8.06% of
domestic energy production for the period. While total domestic energy
production from all sources during the first quarter of 2012 increased
by 3.89% compared to the first quarter of 2011, non-hydro renewables
increased at roughly double that rate - 7.67%.
