Freshly Baked Einkorn Bread

For pictures of this recipe, see my post about making einkorn bread.

Put 3 Cups of hot tap water and 5 Cups of einkorn flour into mixer and mix until smooth. Stop the mixer and add 1/3 Cup of expeller-pressed coconut oil, 1/3 Cup raw, unfiltered honey, 1 1/2 Tablespoons of yeast, and then 1 Tablespoon of sea salt.

After mixing all the ingredients together, keep mixer running and gradually added 5 1/2 Cups of einkorn flour and then turn of the mixer and let it sit for 20 minutes.  After this brief rest, start the mixer and slowly add more flour until the einkorn dough no longer sticks to the sides of the mixer bowl.

Next, cut the dough into the right size for your loaf pans, oil your pans, and put the dough in the pan to rise.

After the bread rises for 90 minutes, put it in the oven to bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Note: I’m still working on the recipe…I hope to get it to rise better and fluff up.  I’ll add any updates to my recipe as I improve it.
