PSEG Solar Source, Salt River Project and juwi solar are formally celebrating the completion and launch of Arizona's 25 MW PSEG Queen Creek Solar Farm.

The solar farm, located on 148 acres, is comprised of approximately 90,000 crystalline solar panels and 48, 400 kW solar inverters. A single axis tracking systems allows the panels to follow the sun and maximize the electricity generated by each panel. Each of the 48 inverters has six, 67 kW extractable modules with a customized configuration for maximum energy harvesting.

SRP takes pride in the fact that the solar farm will conserve valuable resources.

"Queen Creek solar not only allows SRP to provide our customers with clean, green energy, but it can be done efficiently, close to our load and with virtually no water," said SRP President David Rousseau.

SRP strives to meet 20 percent of its retail electricity requirements through sustainable resources by 2020 and is currently meeting about 10 percent of that goal.

Public Service Electric and Gas boasts 22 solar projects and the largest pole-attached solar program in the world, as well as owning the largest solar farm in Ohio, the second largest solar farm in Florida and building what will be the largest solar farm in Delaware.
