Dealing With Diabetes Off The Grid

Any survivalist who is on regular prescription meds has one fear: what happens if things fall apart and you can't get medication?

If you're a diabetic and on daily medication for your condition, you know how serious it can be if you miss your meds. Uncontrolled blood sugar is the last thing you want. Uncontrolled blood sugar, as you probably know, brings with it a host of problems. Not only do you feel like crap, but you run the risk of eye problems, nerve damage, poor wound healing, cardiovascular disease, kidney damage... the list goes on and on.

So of course, you want to be extremely diligent about making sure your blood sugar is controlled. And in a crisis situation, when everything falls apart and there are no meds to be had, what are you going to do?

Before we go much further, permit me to go off on a bunny trail here. I want to share a brief story with you to make an important point.

The Toddler, The Crib, and Diabetes

If you have kids, you know there comes a day when your toddler learns how to climb out of his crib on his own. We picked up a little trick from some friends on how to prevent this. We kept a step stool in our toddler's bedroom and placed it next to the crib for him to climb in and out. Then we immediately moved it to the other side of the room. Our little ones learned to depend on that step stool to get out of their crib. Long past the time when other people's kids were climbing out of their cribs, our kids did not climb out on their own... because they were "brainwashed" into thinking they still needed the step stool.

All of today's "healthcare" forces are conspiring to keep you like that ignorant toddler. They want you to think you need the step stool.

Guess what. You probably don't.

In a survival situation with diabetes, you may not have as much to fear as you think. Because here's the thing: for many diabetes sufferers, there are ways to treat diabetes... without medication... so that you don't have any symptoms. You've just been "brainwashed" into thinking that's not possible.

There are four reasons for this:

Reason #1: Most doctors don't really understand the difference between healing an underlying cause of disease and managing the symptoms. As long as your numbers are in an acceptable range on the lab work, they don't make the distinction.

Reason #2: 99% of doctors today have been educated only in the pharmaceutical model of medicine. They believe drugs are the answer to everything.

Reason #3: While they give lip service to "lifestyle changes," deep down they don't believe you'll make those changes. And their lip service is almost useless. "Eat a balanced diet and get regular exercise." If you've been diagnosed with diabetes, you need a whole lot more to go on than just that!

Reason #4: If they're the rare doctor who truly understands how to manage or even reverse diabetes without medication, they don't have the time to educate you. They lose money for every minute they spend with you past their allotted time slot.

If doctors don't have the specific know-how or the time to educate you, you would think an organization founded for diabetics would. But the ADA - American Diabetes Association - is really not much help at all. Here's why... as Upton Sinclair once said,

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it."

Who funds the ADA? They get huge donations from the pharmaceutical industry. And the AADE (American Association of Diabetes Educators) gets much of their funding from companies like PepsiCo... the drug companies again... and, believe it or not, the sugar lobby.

Do you really think these organizations are going to give diabetes patients advice that will hurt their sponsors financially? Of course not! You see, organizations like the ADA, the food industry, and Big Pharma all have plenty to gain by telling you to eat a certain way and take your meds. The status quo is quite the cash cow for them. They need to keep you dependent on them. But if you make a few simple changes and get well? You won't need them anymore... and they'll lose that incoming stream of cash.

Who, exactly, benefits from all the "advice" you get from the ADA and Big Pharma? Not you, for sure. Because if you follow their advice, chances are you'll go the way of 95% of all diabetics and just get sicker with every passing year. Your doctor may tell you that's normal... but so what. You don't want normal, you want optimal.

When you're so dependent on the big three - Big Med, Big Food, Big Pharma... and there's a catastrophic event... what do you think is going to happen to you? If, say, there were an EMP event that took down the grid, you could pretty much kiss regular prescription meds goodbye. Production would shut down and supply lines would be affected. Drugs wouldn't get distributed to pharmacies. You might not be able to get to your doctor.

You would have nobody to rely on but yourself.

And... as long as you know exactly what to do... that might just be a blessing in disguise.

You see, there are lots of things you can do to deal with diabetes that don't include prescription meds. You're just not going to hear them from official sources, for all the reasons I stated above.

That's why I commissioned a very special book: Off the Grid With Diabetes.

With 26 million diagnosed diabetics in the U.S. today... and 60 million more with pre-diabetes... you can bet that if the grid goes down or there's another major catastrophe, diabetics are going to be affected.

Off the Grid With Diabetes covers everything you need to know. Right out of the gate, in Chapter 1, you'll discover two simple ways the majority of diabetics can easily manage... and maybe even reverse their condition. (Of course, implementing these two simple changes shouldn't be postponed until there's a crisis. Take care of things now and you won't need to worry later.)

In Chapter 2, you'll learn why living off the grid actually supports your health in ways modern living can't... and why it can actually make diabetes less of a threat. In Chapter 3, you'll learn about the big three - Big Pharma, Big Medicine, and Big Insurance - and how they're formidable opponents in your battle to get truly healthy. Other threats to your health, healthcare, and insurance premiums are covered in Chapter 4. Chapters 5 through 9 give you solutions, real, practical, do-able solutions. Solutions like:

  • How to eat your way to health.
  • 12 diabetic superfoods to enjoy daily.
  • The vitamin that increases insulin sensitivity by up to 60%
  • The juice that reduces blood sugar and triglycerides in diabetics by 40% in just 6 weeks
  • The simple 3-day-a-week exercise routine that builds muscle and helps beat diabetes
  • 7 easy ways to beat the common eye problems that diabetics often face
  • The naturally-occurring sugar that can actually help diabetics with heart conditions, pain, chronic fatigue, and more
  • How to prepare for an off-the-grid lifestyle with diabetes
  • What to consider as you make your survival plans
  • 2 must-have publications for dealing with off-the-grid medical treatment

And, of course, much more. Healthcare is one of the most often overlooked components in a survival plan. If you or your loved one is a diabetic, you can't afford to take chances.
