US lower 48 production rises 0.4% to 72.58 Bcf/d in July: EIA

Natural gas output in the US Lower 48 states rose 0.4%, or 290,000
Mcf/d in July from June, the US Energy Information Administration said
Friday in its monthly natural gas gross production report.
Total US Lower 48 gas output in July was 72.58 Bcf/d, compared with a
revised 72.29 Bcf/d in June.
New Mexico had the largest increase, at 2.6% or 90,000 Mcf/d, which the
EIA credited to new wells and completed maintenance.
The Gulf of Mexico also grew by 1.8%, or 70,000 Mcf/d, as production
resumed after Tropical Storm Debby, EIA noted.
Offsetting this was a production decline of 1.1% or 70,000 Mcf/d in
Wyoming, and a drop of 20.9% or 1.76 Bcf/d, in Alaska.
Total US production in July was 79.25 Bcf/d, down 1.8% from a revised
80.72 Bcf/d in June.
