Chip McDaniels here. Just last week I needed to get away from the
endless onslaught of political commercials and campaigns. In fact, don’t
even get me started on that. I can already feel my blood-pressure
rising. I was getting overwhelmed. Look, I have my mind made up and
that’s that, don’t keep pestering me. (Sorry for the quick vent but I’m
sure you know where I’m coming from.)
Anyway, like I was saying, I had to get away from it all so I just took
a long weekend to clear my head. I spent the entire weekend with my wife
doing what we like doing the most. We went camping, fishing, and we even
did a little shooting at the range. It was a nice, peaceful, relaxing
weekend. We love doing all of these things because it reminds us that we
still have what it takes to survive when the SHTF.
Look, you and I both know that it is only a matter of time before the
bottom falls out and I don’t know about you, but this political nonsense
makes it even more realistic for me.
When we go camping, I always pack just the bare essentials. I like it
most when life presents me with little challenges and I have to
improvise in the wild. Inevitably, if you’re like me, even though you go
through your list of camping items and you check it twice, you still end
up forgetting something. Don’t you hate that? You never remember what
you have forgotten until you’re miles and miles from civilization.
For me, that moment is usually right after I set up camp and I have just
sat down to take a load off. I have the fire roaring, I sit down in my
chair, I put my feet on a big log next to the fire, I lean back to get
comfy in my chair, I cross my fingers and place my hands behind my head,
take a deep breath and then, “Damn! I forgot my...” (you fill in the
blank).
Well I must have really had my head in left field, so to speak, because
what I had forgotten this time was my water filter, and the charcoal and
lighter fluid for my
Crisis Cooker. I have tried the “Camp Fire Grill” sets and I can’t
stand them. It never cooks my food evenly, it takes forever, and you
can’t grab a hold of any of that cast iron without letting the entire
wilderness know you are out there.
One winter I did that and I had to shove my hand in the snow bank next
to me in order to reduce swelling as much as I could and I still have a
scar on the back of my right hand. It’s a nice little 3” line from when
I touched the edge of my “Camp Fire Grill” pulling my hand out of the
fire after adding more wood. At that time I was living in Wisconsin and
I think they heard me in Canada. (Ouch!)
Anyway, my favorite way to cook food and boil water when I am out
camping is with my
Crisis Cooker. And it was a lucky thing that I had the Crisis Cooker
instead of a propane or strictly charcoal grill. You see, with a propane
or charcoal grill, I would not have had any fuel source. At least with
my Crisis Cooker I was able to use wood as a fuel source. Sure, I had a
little more work ahead of me rounding up some additional firewood. At
least I was able to boil water so we had fresh drinking water and a way
to cook our food.
If cooking the perch we had caught was the only concern, that would have
been no big deal, I can scavenge for berries and apples and get by for a
few days, or find a flat dark rock to set in the sun and cook some fish
on.
The thing that would have ended my whole trip was if I didn’t have a way
to boil my water. Water filters are great when you have them but boiling
water is something you can always rely on, if you have the right
resources. If you have a way to start a fire and a metal pot, you can
have clean water. My
Crisis Cooker had my back covered both with cooking my food and
making sure I had fresh water. Not to mention, I was able to help
provide those things for both myself and my wife.
Look, I can tell you from firsthand experience that being able to cook
food and boil water with multiple different fuel sources is a real gift
in a time of need. Not to mention the
Crisis Cooker practically guarantees that you will be able to keep
you and your family safe and nourished when the SHTF.
Don’t wait, this
Crisis Cooker could be the most valuable piece of survival equipment
you have in your arsenal when the SHTF and who knows exactly when that
will be.
Yours Truly,

Chip McDaniels
P.S. Once the SHTF, we won’t be able to keep enough of these
Crisis Cookers around. So get yours today and put your worries to
rest knowing that you will be able to cook food and boil water in
virtually any situation. Take care.
