What the heck has happened to the nation we grew up in? For millions
of Americans, the land of opportunity has turned into the land of
despair. Far too many hardworking, middle-class Americans now barely
earn enough to put food on the table ... much less buy a home or send
their kids to college. Instead of the limited government envisioned by
our forefathers, our government today regulates every aspect of our
lives. Meanwhile, they protect and enable giant corporations that
violate our trust, destroy our health, and swindle us out of our money.
Look, you may not be ready to renounce your citizenship, but it
wouldn't be a bad idea to consider a Plan B. One of the biggest reasons
is economic. The signs of an impending economic crash are all there.
Over the past few years, I've been making regular, extended visits to a
place that's become my home away from home. And if the "you-know-what"
hits the fan, that's where my family and I will relocate permanently.
Let's compare life in this little-known haven to life in the United
States.
Here: The United States is no longer the land of
economic opportunity. Our economy right now has a growth rate of a
pitiful 0.4 percent.
There: This jewel of a country has a sustainable 6
percent growth rate year after year. Plus, the government there doesn't
tax you to death. (In fact, many residents are able to live tax-free
lives completely.)
Here: You can barely get by on $2,000 per month.
That's the official poverty line for a family of four, by the way.
There: $2,000 there will get you a nice place to
live, a housekeeper and a gardener, and regular meals out.
Here: The government has to prop up corrupt
financial institutions - with your tax dollars - that are "too big to
fail." The biggest banks in the U.S. are only required to have a 10
percent liquidity ratio. Smaller banks only need to have 3 percent.
There: Banks are required to have a 25 percent
liquidity ratio. That makes it far less likely a bank will fail. And you
certainly don't have to worry about the banks stealing your life
savings, as is happening in Cyprus right now. (In fact, many people
think this could actually happen in the U.S. in the not-too-distant
future.)
Here: The government can stick its nose into your
financial affairs and demand to know how much money you have in the bank
at any given time. They even require banks to report on your finances.
And just a couple years ago, they pressured Switzerland into waiving its
long-held strict banking privacy practices.
There: Private means private. They won't go sharing
your personal financial information with the U.S. government.
Then, there's the incredible climate ... breathtaking natural beauty
... a government based on the Canadian constitution ... and the official
language, which is English. And it's all just one short direct flight
away from many major U.S. cities.
People there are warm, friendly, relaxed, and eager to help. If one
of the locals sees you parking somewhere you're not supposed to, for
instance, he won't roll his eyes at your ignorance or assume you think
you're above the law. Nope, he'll helpfully warn you that you will get a
ticket and point you to a place that's okay to park.
Here's another thing I love about this country. It's a true "melting
pot" of cultures and peoples. People of all colors and ethnicities
coexist peacefully without anyone taking offense. Black, white, Mayan,
Spanish, Chinese ... it's completely free of the racial baggage we carry
here in the U.S.

Here's a perfect example of what I mean by "no racial baggage." I was
looking for an address in a commercial area. I stopped to ask directions
from a local. He pointed me in the right direction, and added "there,
where that black fellow is standing on the corner."
Now, say that in some neighborhoods in the good ole' U.S.A., and
somebody is going to be offended. You'll get a lecture for being racist
... for using someone's obvious skin color as a reference point. But in
this "haven" country, that's all it is - a reference point. In fact, if
you're white, you're just as likely to hear a matter-of-fact reference
to your skin color as anyone else.
There's so much more I could tell you about this phenomenal "just in
case" place ... but I don't have space here. That's why I've developed a
complete audio and book package that gives you every detail you could
possibly want to know about living in this under-the-radar safe haven.
